NEW YORK (VH1) - While Toni Braxton was thrilled with the news of having a second child in late 2002, her longtime record company, Arista, was less than enthused. Fearing that her pregnancy would prevent the promotion of her long-awaited fifth album More than a Woman, Arista's fears became a reality as Toni experienced an extremely difficult pregnancy, having to be confined to her bed for months. As Toni decides to put her family first, VH1 documents her struggle in the second installment of "(inside)out: Toni Braxton-Family Comes First" premiering on Thursday, August 17 at 10:00 P.M. EST. "(inside)out," is a cinema-verite documentary series that captures an artist or celebrity as they face personal or professional crossroads. With extraordinary access to some of entertainment's biggest names, "(inside)out" reveals the closely guarded moments of a celebrity's personal life that the public is rarely allowed to see. This episode of "(inside)out" captures Toni's juggling act between motherhood and her career. Sharing her deepest and most private thoughts, Toni allows the cameras to document her private moments from the delivery room for the birth of her second son, Diezel, and weeks later to the lights of the Broadway musical "Aida." Singer, mother, and Broadway star, Toni Braxton has enjoyed an incredible career and being known as one of the original R & B divas. She has overcome both professional and private hurdles and is returning to her career -- on her own terms.
