MIAMI, FL. (Top40 Charts/ Redline Media Group) -
Santa Claus came early for over 400 children Tuesday afternoon in Miami as Mr. 305 himself, platinum recording artist Pitbull, teamed with 1-800-Need-Help, 103.5 The Beat, The City of Miami and other local organizations to present the 2nd Annual Toy Giveaway at Charles Hadley Park.
The event, which was hosted by Angie B and Prince Markie B (formerly of the legendary Fat Boys), featured Pitbull just before leaving for year-ending shows in Las Vegas and Chicago. For the rap star, his commitment to the Miami community, especially its children, always comes first, and helping distribute toys and bicycles to underprivileged children from throughout the Greater Miami Area is what giving back is all about. This year's event contributions and support came in part from South Florida-based 1-800-Need-Help, who stepped up and assisted in every way possible to maximize the benefits to the recipients throughout the surrounding South Florida communities.
"I'll do anything to help the kids of Miami, and to see the looks on their faces when we came out with the toys made my year," Pitbull said. "The work's not done though, and we've got to do whatever we can to keep these kids smiling all year round, and not just at Christmas."
"I'm honored to have been a part of this year's Toy Giveaway, and I couldn't be happier with the way everything went," said Dr. Danny Feder, President of 1-800-Need-Help. "The kids had a great time, and seeing them smile is definitely something I'll never forget. I can hardly wait for next year's event."
Also helping to make this event a resounding success were Youth Community Help Services, the City of Miami, Beautiful People Miami, Angie B Promotions and The Chop Shop.
