NEW YORK (BMG press release) - Roselyn Sanchez will officially enter the music world with the release of her first single, "Amor, Amor" to radio. The single comes from her debut album, "Borinquena", which will be released on September 23, 2003 on BMG. "Amor, Amor" was written by the talented Roy Tavarez (who also produced the entire album). The song is a beautiful ballad sung completely in Roselyn's native tongue, Spanish. "Amor, Amor" tells the story of a woman longing for a love who is no longer with her. Roselyn sings the sensual lyrics in such a way, she allows the listener to enter her body and feel her pain of a love that no longer exists. Each word describe her pain and longing for her undying love, "Sin ti no tengo la vida" ("Without you I have no life"), "Sin ti me falta la suerte " ("Without you I am out of luck"). Latin Hip-Hop star, Tego Calderon gave the song an urban feel when he wrote and performed the rap at the end of the track. Of the song Sanchez says, "Amor, Amor" is a sensual, creative and universal ballad, and Tego gives it the urban touch which compliments it perfectly".
Roselyn recently shot a video for the single in the Dominican Republic. The video features actor, model and singer Tyrese and will be released in mid-August.
