BOSTON, MA. (Top40 Charts/ Paid, Inc.) - -Joey Kramer's gritty, soul-searching book, 'Hit Hard: a Story of Hitting Rock Bottom at the Top,' debuted on June 30, 2009 - five days after King of Pop Michael Jackson died right before his planned reemergence on the world stage. Although many missed the book's launch amid the avalanche of coverage surrounding Michael Jackson, the early release has been a regional best seller and is well on its way to achieving national best-seller status. In support of and in collaboration with the book's publisher, Harper Collins/HarperOne, PAID, INC. (OTCBB: PAYD) has been providing marketing support for 'Hit Hard' to help drive the book sales that will propel it to become a national best seller.

Joey Kramer's 'Hit Hard' is not just another rock 'n' roll memoir. In addition to the never-before-told Aerosmith war stories that abound in the book, 'Hit Hard' hammers out Kramer's personal story of battling with childhood abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, and depression, while living the rollercoaster rise, fall and resurrection of America's most beloved and legendary rock and roll band, only to suffer a nervous breakdown at the height of the band's comeback success. Ultimately, 'Hit Hard' is about how Joey recognized his confusion between love and abuse, awakening to the kind of self-acceptance and compassion that makes healthy relationships possible in the 'real world.'

'Hit Hard' is a collaboration between Joey Kramer and PAID, INC. Keith Garde, a former Aerosmith manager who has served the band in various roles as brander, marketer and principal creative consultant for nearly 23 years, and who continues to provide branding and marketing services to them today as president of PAID, INC. celebrity services, is co-author of the book. PAID, INC. Director of Artist Relations Andy Martel and Project Director Jessie Goldbas coordinated photo selection and editing, as well as layout and design.

Kramer stated, 'I would like to honor, give thanks, and much gratitude to Keith Garde - his contribution as one of the principal architects and drivers of Aerosmith's career since 1987 has never been rightfully acknowledged. As marketer, co-manager, creative contributor, collaborator, guide and friend, Keith, unlike anyone outside of the five guys in my band, is truly a part of what Aerosmith is today. Without his painstaking understanding of my struggle, his patience, compassion, and kindness - this book would simply not exist.'

He added, 'My heartfelt thanks go out to Jessie Goldbas and Andy Martel for all the hours of organizing (and agonizing), coordinating what would have otherwise been a mess of words, pictures and pages…'

Currently, PAID, INC. has picked up where the publisher's initial promotional push left off, steering the ongoing marketing efforts and online marketing campaign, including managing Kramer and the book's official web site, and its Facebook, and YouTube presence. Working closely with Kramer, PAID has produced a series of video clips that have aired on national and online news outlets ranging from Access Hollywood to CNN, that can be viewed across Internet-media channels such as YouTube and Facebook, as well as on Joey Kramer's official web site. PAID has served as the liaison between Kramer, Harper Collins/Harper One and the media, coordinated radio and print interviews and managed all in-store book signing events and promotions.

'Promoting artists isn't just a job for our team at PAID,' Garde noted. 'Our commitment to the quality of the artist-audience relationship is the driving force behind all of our marketing and branding initiatives. In addition to pursuing excellence in our craft, we invest in knowing, understanding and representing the essence of our clients. We have a passion for and knowledge of who they are, where they've been, where they want to go, and how they want to reach and be reached by their audience.

Garde added, 'PAID, INC. celebrity services operates from a much broader perspective than every other company out there. We engage with our clients in a way that provides for a very personal, custom campaign. As such, we apply best practices and technology to do whatever it takes to achieve each of our client's unique goals. This is a major reason why the promotional video, TV and radio commercial campaign production, web site, product and packaging design projects, and online marketing services we deliver speak so directly to the artists' most loyal fans - and it is also why PAID is so effective at attracting new members and at energizing our clients' growing fan communities.'
