LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Union State Records) - The Hollywood Music in Media Awards named Hypnogaja the Best Alternative Artist of 2009 at the HMMAs held on November 19. The ceremony was a star-studded affair that included actor Eric Roberts, recording artist Aaron Carter and Emmy award-winning composer Jim Dooley (Pushing Daisies, Obsession), as well as Hypnogaja's live performance of the song, 'Welcome To The Future,' from their fifth studio LP Truth Decay (hailed by Outburn Magazine as 'an expertly crafted album').

Numerous hit TV shows, films and video games (including the CW's America's Next Top Model, HBO's Sex And The City and Warner Bros.' FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage) have featured Hypnogaja's tracks, described by hit songwriter/producer Wendy Waldman (Garth Brooks, Vanessa Williams) as 'sophisticated songs that cater to no trend.'

Hypnogaja's fanbase is expanding exponentially through social media sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Imeem, iLike, Last.fm and Twitter, where the sextet recently reached over 1,000,000 followers. The band is currently in the studio working on new material for 2010, which will include a cover of the classic Donna Summer hit, 'On The Radio.'
