PITTSBURGH, PA. (Top40 Charts/ World Hunger Year) - The Clarks will bring their hometown of Pittsburgh some seasonal cheer and holiday rock, as the band announces two benefit concerts for December 26th & 27th. The shows, at The Altar Bar, will benefit WHY & The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will have volunteers on site collecting canned goods as well as taking donations.
The Clarks - an 'American rock' band that has sold hundreds of thousands of CDs - continue to earn praise for 'Restless Days', their recently released, first studio CD in five years.
In addition to receiving extraordinary coverage in their hometown of Pittsburgh, The Clarks broke through with 'Restless Days', appearing in USA TODAY twice, earning their highest-ever Billboard chart debut, and seeing ALL MUSIC praise them with a four-star CD review that said 'this album is easily one of their best,' and compared them to 'Tom Petty crossed with the Smithereens.'
