MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica (Montego Bay festival) - Jamaican police announced yesterday that Sean Paul has been charged with using profanity during his Sumfest performance in Montego Bay last week. Jamaican law prohibits individuals from using profanity in public. The dancehall superstar is scheduled to appear in a Montego Bay courtroom tomorrow. If found guilty, he faces a maximum fine of $1,000 Jamaican dollars, the equivalent of about $50 US. Snoop Dogg and Ja Rule were both given similar court summons for profanity following their performances in Montego Bay last year. Both rappers ignored the charges.
