(Top40 Charts/ howsaboutNOW?/SideCho) - SPiN (www.spinrocks.com) has witnessed rapid and unprecedented success since the initial release of their self-titled debut EP. The band's first single "Home" reached number 7 on the FMQB radio charts and they're fresh off extensive national touring in support of the release, sharing stages along the way with multi-platinum artists Hinder, Puddle of Mudd, Trapt, among others. Now SPiN is completing work on their first full-length album, which has been written and recorded in a 160 year old Philadelphia funeral home.

From the band's perspective, drummer Lou Chudnofsky says "The vibe we get when writing in a place with so much history is undeniable; the house has been there since 1848! It's especially freaky around Halloween." "Playing Dead" provides a good example of such inspiration and the soon to be released music video validates the influence with an erotic story of voyeurism and an unnerving twist ending! The video itself, which was shot on location in Philadelphia, features all local actors and crew, and stars Kevin Momenee (Mad Men/The Sopranos/The Good Shepherd).

Based on its recent success, including a 2009/10 ASCAP Plus Award, the band has signed a distribution deal with California-based SideCho Media. Vocalist Eric Rothenheber says of the signing, "SideCho approached us with a deal that allowed us to still maintain control over our music through our howsaboutNOW? label, while providing all the back-end support and resources that come from SideCho's experience with bands like Sherwood and Copeland who we've been digging lately."
"SPiN brings more to the table than just great hooks" adds Brian Tippy from SideCho, who have also released early Fall Out Boy and Yellowcard EP's. "Their fan-interactivity, and overall approach to making music, allows us to further develop the band while their creative freedom remains intact. It may be cliche' to state SPiN has nothing but good things in store for them, but the pieces they have in place so far easily justifies that expectation."

The debut album, tentatively titled hFACTOR, is slated for a February 2010 release on howsaboutNOW?/SideCho.
