NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Top40 Charts/ Desert Core Management) - Arizona's Back From Ashes, known for their potent, unique mix of progressive, metal and rock, have reached another career milestone. They now hold the distinction of being the only artist to receive two separate honors at this year's Los Angeles/Phoenix Music Awards. The band were nominated for, and won both Modern Rock Band Of The Year and Music Video Of The Year for the hauntingly, powerful "The Suffering Within". A song portraying one's struggle with inner demons.

Formed in 2003 by vocalist Jason Hobel and guitarist Mike Butikofer, the current line up was finalized in 2007. Their critically acclaimed, self titled EP, containing "The Suffering Within", was released earlier this year.

Drawing influence from blues, jazz, classic rock, and even death metal, Back From Ashes' appeal spans several age groups and musical genres. The band's unique style reflects one's life under the scorching heat of the Arizona sun, placing them in a music genre all their own ... Desert Core!

Back From Ashes will be on hand to receive honors at the Los Angeles/Phoenix Music Awards Ceremony on November 12, 2009 at The Hollywood Avalon.
