CHICAGO, Ill. (Ice Cube Fans Website) - Chicago police are apologizing to Ice Cube for saying a suspect in a series of sexual assaults looked like him. Over the weekend, the police described the suspect as a black male in his mid-20s, who "resembles the popular rap artist Ice Cube." At that point, the bad situation got worse. A Chicago TV station reported the story accompanied by one of Ice Cube's videos. "We acknowledged the information should not have been on the alert," Police spokesman David Bayless said. "We took immediate corrective action. We apologize to Ice Cube for what was an honest mistake and came with no ill intent." The television station apologized to the rapper as well.
