New York (TOP40 Charts/ Tamika Nicole) -- On Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 10:30pm Tamika Nicole will be appearing at Yoshis San Francisco. Tamika will be performing music from her latest release The Art of Letting Go which recently made the first round of Grammy nominations. Dr. Dee Spencer, Professor of Music and founder of the Jazz Studies Program at San Francisco State University, will also appear as a special guest during the performance. Tamika Nicole is capturing the hearts of music enthusiasts with her latest release The Art of Letting Go.

A 2010 First Round Grammy Nominee, she is carving a niche market for independent artists in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tamikas newest project, The Art of Letting Go, has been burning up independent music charts in Europe and is a favorite amongst Internet Bloggers and Music Enthusiasts all over the world.

Tamika Nicole, the Oakland, California native, began her music career in Open Mics, Jazz Jam Sessions, and Musicals while being gainfully employed as an Educator. Sitting in with such notables as Dr. Dee Spencer, Tamika began forging a solo career by creating her own unique sound fusing Funk, Rock, Blues, and Gospel. In 2001, she released her first project My Message. Earlier this year, she independently released The Art of Letting Go with production from Jamie Hawkins (Tramaine Hawkins, Walter Hawkins, Donnell Jones) and Jimi Fischer(The Temptations, Steve Winwood, Aretha Franklin), which explores lifes experiences and what it takes to overcome its pitfalls.

Tamika will be appearing at Yoshis San Francisco on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 10:30pm with her full band. Dr. Dee Spencer will also appear as a special guest. Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $14.00 at the door. For more information, please visit www.yoshis.com. For information on Tamika Nicole, visit her website at www.tamikanicole.com
