Hailing from Washington D.C, David E Beats was raised to the chant of a medley of Soul pioneers, respectively: The Moments, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin; and the grunge-rock sound of bands such as Sound Garden and Nirvana. Before the age of 15, David E Beats had never listened to Rap music. He started to develop an interest in Hip Hop when he bought his first Rap CD, ''The Blueprint", by Jay Z.
