Malina Moye's 'Diamond & Guitars' Considered For 2009 Grammy Nominations In R&B Categories

LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ WCE Records) - Independent recording artist/songwriter Malina Moye released her LP 'Diamonds & Guitars' this summer and is now being considered for Grammy's Best Female R&B Vocal Performance with soulful tracks 'Nobody' and 'Yaah!,' pitting her against powerhouse artists such as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.
According to Grammy leaks on the Web, Moye is also on the ballot for Best New Artist, R&B Song of the Year with 'Hustler's Blues,' Rap/Sung Collab with 'Ain't It a Shame' featuring Layzie Bone of Bone Thugs and Harmony, and R&B Record of the Year with 'Diamonds & Guitars.' Malina appeared in Victoria Secret's 'Life is Pink' campaign in September and is in talks for a tour in early 2010.

Top blog sites from Seventeen Magazine and YoungHollywood.com tout Malina as the 'new pop guitar hero' whose music is 'organic and fresh, yet in touch with her musical roots.'

'As an indie artist, this is a big deal for me and my company to even be on the same playing field with the artists I've always looked up to,' states Moye. 'Just to be considered is huge and if a nomination happens-great. Either way, I'm excited my music will be in front of a lot more people.'
