NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ FERMATTA RECORDS) - 'A mixture between Jack Johnson, Dashboard Confessional, and perhaps even Dave Matthews Bands, Rob has a blues, jazzy, light rock sound that washes over you' - Beatcrave Classically trained and always inventive, Rob Nicholas has been recording for nearly 10 years and embodies many types of genres from World Music to Latin Jazz. His new offering self- titled 'Rob Nicholas' has taken on a new departure from his earlier work towards more of a 90' Alternative direction bridging the gap between stylistic Pop Music with Electric influences, at times you might even detect a touch of Sting, Aphex Twin, and even Jars of Clay. Nicholas musical influences are prevalent on this EP, a creative and sonic blend of acoustic and electronic music that remolds his sound, continues with thought-provoking lyrics, while offering great melodies and arrangements. From the emotional rock-ballad 'Lost Yourself' sprinkled with guitar licks to the electronic blend groove of 'Dare We Go,' Rob Nicholas latest EP is an infectious groove that embodies multiple genres. Nicholas either wrote or co-wrote every song on the new album and handles some of the guitar and programming duties. Production credits on the album are care of Matthew Nischan (Kris Meyers of Umphree's McGee, and jazz legend Fred Anderson).
