LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Jason Reeves Official Website) - Singer/songwriter Jason Reeves will hit the road for an acoustic tour this fall, performing select dates at several music festival, colleges, and nightclubs up and down the West Coast, including a stop at the Hotel Cafe' in Los Angeles on November 12th. Reeves also recently opened a secret show for John Mayer at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. Reeves, a 23-year-old Iowa City native who was signed to Warner Bros. Records by WBR's Senior Vice President of A&R and current American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, has been touring for the past year in support of his debut album, The Magnificent Adventures of Heartache (and Other Frightening Tales), which was released on September 9th, 2008, by Warner Bros. Records after selling briskly as an independent release in 2007 through Reeves' MySpace page. The album's hook-filled songs of love, hope, heartbreak, and renewal, matched with Reeves' engaging tenor voice, led iTunes to name Reeves one of the Top Indie Singer-Songwriters of 2007. Music fans may also know Reeves through his songwriting collaborations with breakthrough singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat. Reeves co-wrote 10 tracks on Caillat's platinum debut album Coco, including the smash hit singles "Bubbly" and "Realize," as well as 10 tracks on the deluxe edition of her new No. 1 album Breakthrough. He also co-wrote the international No. 1 hit "The Show" on singer-songwriter Lenka's debut album. Last spring, Reeves, and fellow musicians Brendan James and Amber Rubarth launched The Vespa Experiment - a two-week tour of the California coastline during which they rode Vespas up the coast with just the basics: camping gear, musical instruments, and a vision: to inspire young people to consider their impact on their environment.
