New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Dfactor) - Garage Rocker Dfactor unleashes two new songs from '
Slashing the Sunlight', his upcoming CD.
More fun music for these troubled times! Through August, two songs a week are being made available to stream, download and purchase from 'Slashing the Sunlight'.
This week, CD tracks 5 and 6 get unveiled - 'When I Go Away' and 'Too Much Regulation', following up on the release of the first four songs - 'Slashing the Sunlight', 'Shake It', 'Online World' and 'Head for the Hills'.
Dfactor sez: "I love these two songs. 'When I Go Away' just flat out rocks in the way I like best - a Replacements-worthy descending E chord riff with probably the most naked lyrics I've ever written to create another top 10 hit in a parallel universe. Way cool, catchy garage pop."
"Track six 'Too Much Regulation' asks questions about government intervention in our lives and if we want it and if it's worth it. I say no, in three chords and a flurry of dynamics. Another corker."

The 12 songs on 'Slashing the Sunlight' represent bits of Dfactor's last decade of rockin' out in rehearsal studios, rock clubs and backyard fetes. Dfactor covers more thematic territory than ever before. And more often than not, recurring notions of slice-of-life U.S. recessionary blues hit home on more than a few of these songs.
Dfactor wrote all the songs, arranged 'em, recorded and mixed 'em. Pretty hardcore DIY, but that's the way he's been working for awhile now. On top of the music, he took the cover photo, made the artwork and worked the Web tubes to deliver these songs.
