LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Anjulie Official Website) - MTV VMAs Nominate ANJULIE for 'Breakthrough Video' on the day of Self Titled Debut Album Release.

MTV announced the nominees for this year's Video Music Awards and Anjulie's 'Boom' received a nomination for 'Breakthrough Video'!

The nomination comes at a perfect time since Anjulie's self-titled debut album hits stores via Hear Music.

Other nominees in the category include Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Death Cab for Cutie, Gnarls Barkley, and Bat for Lashes. Voting for the category ends August 21, 2009. Vote for Anjulie here!

After hitting No 1 on the Billboard dance chart with 'Boom' her slinky, Nancy Sinatraesque 60's era vibe, first single, pop music alchemist Anjulie has released of her self-titled debut album from Hear Music.

mtvU recently tapped her as one of their 'Freshman 5' this summer, one of five exciting new artists the channel believes are about to jump from college favorites to household names. MTV has heavily supported the Adria Petty directed video for 'Boom' while featuring many songs from the album in the hit shows The Hills and The City. Additionally, VH1 played 'Boom' in regular rotation and has showcased her songs on their show Tough Love.

'Anjulie' album is available at participating Starbucks locations in the U.S. and Canada and wherever music is sold.

'A seductive, exotic presence who has an especially light touch with a song.' PEOPLE
