NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - San Antonio trio Girl in a Coma follow up their recent "Static Mind" video release with "El Monte," another track from 'Trio B.C.' on Joan Jett's Blackheart Records. "El Monte" was shot in the trio's hometown, and includes local landmarks like Woodlawn Lake and Hogwild Records.

Frontwoman Nina Diaz shines on "El Monte," a ballad with lingering arpeggios and pizzicato strings that swell to the climactic bridge. It's a love song with an aching twist:. "I do I do/ I do want to marry you" quickly segues to "Am I just another figure/ To call upon when you're bored/ Am I something else to ignore."

The video was directed by Jim Mendiola, along with members of the Texas-based Friday Night Lights TV production team.
