SANTA MONICA, California (Starting Line Official Website) - Following the remarkable success of last summer's full length debut Say It Like You Mean It, Drive-Thru Records band The Starting Line will release a five song acoustic EP entitled The Make Yourself At Home EP with a special bonus DVD on August 12th.

The Make Yourself At Home EP features four new tracks and an acoustic version of "Best Of Me Say It Like You Mean It's debut single. Three of the new songs were written while on tour in the summer of 02 and recorded later that year by Bob Jones (of the band The Prize Fight) in his bedroom. The last two songs were recorded in lead singer/bassist Ken Vasoli's basement in March 03. The video for "Best Of Me" (the plugged in version) was recently added to Fuse and MTV2.
Other tracks on the EP include "Make Yourself At Home," "The Night Life," "Playing Favorites," and "Selective." The bonus DVD will include the only live acoustic performance The Starting Line has ever done at this past year's Skate & Surf Festival in Asbury Park, NJ.

In less than a year from its release, Say It Like You Mean It has sold in excess of 100,000 units. The band has had a non-stop touring schedule since it's release, which included extended stints with New Found Glory, Finch, Good Charlotte, a sold-out co-headlining tour of the U.S. with Taking Back Sunday and most recently with Sum 41 on a three month sold-out U.S tour. The Starting Line will spend most of June touring Europe and upon their return to the U.S., they will do some club dates before joining up with the Warped Tour where they will play the main stage.

Comprised of lead singer/bassist Ken Vasoli, guitarists Matt Watts and Mike Golla and drummer Tom Gryskiewicz, The Starting Line met via the Internet. While searching for a lead singer for his band, Matt checked out Ken's AOL profile and saw that they liked similar bands. An email conversation ensued and the next thing you know Ken was rehearsing and hanging out with his future bandmates. One problemKen was 14 at the time! He doubled up on classes and quickly finished high school. Now at 19, with school behind him, Ken can focus on his music.
