New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - On new album 'Love Don't Make You Juliet' standout 'When You Wake Up,' Shearer allows a look into her dark side as she tells a transgressor that 'no matter how far you run, you gonna stand before me and explain the things you done,' menacingly adding 'when you wake up it will be me who opens your eyes, it will be me and an army by my side.'

The music adds to the ominous proclamations in the lyrics, as a sinister banjo collides with waves of fuzzed out guitar and a martial back beat that reinforces images of Shearer's vengeful army.

Produced by Craig Street, Love Don't Make You Juliet, out September 1 on Vinyl Tiger Records, is a showcase for the duality in Shearer's music. As easily as she crafts a gentle, lilting groove like album opener 'Night Singing Bird,' Shearer delves into dark places on the sweaty, smoldering 'Live Wire' and the primal, yearning 'Animal.' Her expressive, powerful voice and masterful guitar chops allow Shearer to pull from a broad palette of emotions and sonic textures on the album.
