NEW YORK (Dianna Krall Fans Website) - Grammy and Juno Award winner Diana Krall said she has already begun recording tracks for her next CD project, with more recording sessions scheduled for next week in the San Francisco Bay area. Krall appeared Wednesday (May 20), at the 20th annual ASCAP Pop Awards in Beverly Hills with her fiance, rocker Elvis Costello, who received a Founder's Award at the ceremony. Krall shared some of her future plans, which includes a sold-out club stint and recording dates for her new CD. "I'm working on a new album right now, too, right in the middle of it," Krall said. "So I'm going into a jazz club called Yoshi's for three days with two different bands, and then after the three days, I'm going to do three days of recording. So I'm going to perform in this small jazz club where I started outside of San Francisco in Oakland, and that's what I'm doing next week." Krall is scheduled to perform May 30 and 31 and again June 10 through 12 at Yoshi's. All shows are already sold out.
No word yet on what the new project will be called or when it will be released. The new set will be the follow-up to her platinum-certified live album Live In Paris.
