NEW YORK (NY Daily News) - Rapper and actor Busta Rhymes has been hit with misdemeanor assault and battery charges after an altercation last December at Jake's Twin Saloons in Fall River, Massachusetts, by a fan named Celine Giguere. Giguere's lawyer Mark Mechan told the New York Daily News that when Giguere reached out towards Rhymes, the rapper grabbed and shoved the woman against a table. The rapper then allegedly threatened her, "If you ever touch me again, I will f--king kill you!" The rapper's lawyer Robert Kalina maintains that the allegations are false and that Giguere is just trying to make a quick buck. He said, "This is a bunch of people looking to get a million bucks from a famous person." Giguere was also hit with misdemeanor assault and battery charges after testifying on April 29 in Fall River District Court that she also touched the rapper during the incident. An arraignment date has been set for June 24. If found guilty, either party could face up to a year in prison.
