New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Orman Media) - Nonagenarian, David "Honeyboy" Edwards has been spending his time during Black Music Month to jam his Mississippi Delta Blues to fans from around the world in Chicago. Edwards will turn 94 on June 28 and is performing at Chicago's beloved Taste of Chicago Festival on June 30 in conjunction with his music label, Earwig Music's, 30-year anniversary. Earwig chief, Michael Frank and Honeyboy Edwards have been Blues traveling companions for 37 years.

Edwards most recently played at Chicago Blues Festival's Mississippi Juke Joint on Sunday, June 14 and there was a sea of people stretching from the stage to Jackson Drive chanting "HONEYBOY". Edwards, Born in 1915, is one of the last of the original Mississippi Delta Bluesman and he rocked the crowd.

He also rocked the crowd on Chicago's North Shore as one of the headliners at the 2nd Annual Blues on the North Shore, which raised funds and awareness for A Safe Haven and took place in Evanston, Ill. An Earwig Music family reunion of sorts Edwards celebrated his 94th birthday and his label's anniversary with fellow Earwig Blues musicians on Friday, June 12 at SPACE. These current and former Earwig musicians included some of the most influential Mississippi Bluesman of our time: John Primer, Aron Burton and Big Jack Johnson & the Oilers. They jammed the night away during the celebration. The atmosphere was filled with electricity from songs such as, Too Much Information and Somebody Please Give Me a Job as Johnny Drummer and Rob Stone showcased their Chicago-style soulful urban Blues.

"Edwards is 94 years old, and where he takes the song is his prerogative . John Primer didn't just keep his eyes on Honeyboy: at times his fingers never left the steady security of the bass strings. He'd find the rest of the guitar, and take off on a tear, at a nod from Honeyboy, who would take back the song as quickly as he gave it," said Geoffrey Mohan, Blues on the North Shore performer.

"People from around the world from France, Poland, Germany, came here to Evanston, to the North Shore and to Illinois to hear the Blues," said Lynn Orman Weiss, founder of Blues on the North Shore and Executive Producer of the event.

Blues Lovers can relive this celebratory concert on BB King's Bluesville on XM Sirius Radio with Bill Wax and MHz Networks Worldview, WYCC in Chicago, as well as https://www.frontrowmusic.tv.
