FUNK ICON BOOTSY COLLINS LATEST ALBUM TO U.S. TROOPS

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ BOOTSY COLLINS OFFICIAL WEBISTE) - -Internationally renowned funk legend BOOTSY COLLINS, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and a true American patriot, has dedicated his latest album, FALLEN HEROES MEMORIAL to our troops. Bootsy has teamed up with country legend CHARLIE DANIELS and jazz great GEORGE DUKE to create the special tribute CD, with proceeds going to the construction of a FALLEN HEROES MEMORIAL MUSEUM. All three artists strongly feel that it's important to honor those soldiers and other enlistees who continue to bravely fight to preserve America's freedom.

The project came together after Bootsy's neighbor was found decapitated in Iraq in 2008, after his convoy came under attack by Iraqi insurgents. He immediately reached out to Matt Maupen (father of the deceased) and felt more than ever, the importance and urgency of giving back.
