Ruben Studdard's New Music Video Brings Couple 'Together'

NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - In March, Ruben Studdard graced the American Idol stage to perform the first single "Together" from his forthcoming album 'Love IS' live in front of millions of avid viewers. Hickory Records / 19 Recordings have now unveiled the official music video for "Together," directed by Roman White (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood). It's now airing on BET and MTV Logo and will soon be seen on VH-1 Soul and MTV Hits.

The video features an elegant Studdard in an intimate performance of "Together" at a Nashville nightclub. While Ruben tenderly sings "We belong together," a beautiful bartender and handsome waiter make eyes at each other from across the room. By the end, Ruben's powerful voice inspires the lovestruck couple to reach out to each other and dance.

"Love IS," Studdard's fourth album and his first release since 2006, is out May 19 through Hickory Records / 19 Recordings. The album is helmed by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, best known for their chart-topping successes with Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men and Mary J. Blige. "Together" was produced by Stargate (Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Rihanna).
