Wayne, NJ. (Top40 Charts/ Days Before Tomorrow Official Website) - Days Before Tomorrow (DBT), one of rock and roll's most anticipated new bands, was recently nominated for Record of the Year at the 2009 L.A. Music Awards (LAMAs). The nomination comes as DBT releases their first full-length album, The Sky is Falling, which was produced by legendary music producer Ron Nevison, one of rock 'n roll's most successful, multi-platinum record producers.

"Days Before Tomorrow represents the most cutting edge and unique style I have ever heard from an independent band," says Al Bowman, founder and executive producer of the LAMAs. In nearly two decades of producing award shows, I have never received an album like what they put together. Magnificent work!"

Days Before Tomorrow will also be a featured performer at the 2009 LAMAs in November. Additional upcoming performances for Days Before Tomorrow include opening for legendary keyboardist Keith Emerson (of Emerson, Lake, & Palmer) - just one of many performances to come before they launch a full-scale tour in 2010.

The Sky Is Falling is not your typical indie release. Produced by Nevison and mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Earl Cohen (Christina Aguilera, Usher, Tina Turner), the new album has the ingredients of a superstar release from a major label, with the creative freedom of independent artists.

"To make such a fantastic sounding rock album with a powerhouse team like these guys - as a self-financed, independent artist, is something we're really proud of," says guitarist Scott Kahn. "This really confirms for many people that you don't need a major record label to produce a musical work of exceptional quality."

The album is currently available through iTunes, CDbaby.com, and other popular online retail outlets.
