New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Bell X1's recent US tour has cemented their status as the hottest new import from the emerald isle. USA Today called the band a "high performance machine" while Paste hailed lead singer Paul Noonan "a savagely brilliant lyricist" and Rolling Stone observed, "this Irish trio know from beauty."

While stateside, the band stopped by Letterman for a St Patrick's Day performance and hung out at the Blender offices performing "The Great Defector" and "How Your Heart Is Wired" acoustic for staff members. Check out both segments at the links below.

Paul Noon and Dave Geraghty also spoke with Scott Simon on NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday. Check out the interview/performance here:

More critical raves for 'Blue Lights on the Runway' (Yep Roc):

"[Paul] Noonan has sweated out enough smart work to make him one of pop's most promising writers. The songs he penned... crackle with vivid imagery and ruthless observation... hard clarity [and] quirky melodies." - Jim Farber, New York Daily News

"Mission accomplished... melodically memorable and inventively arranged songs." - Gary Graff, Billboard

"Likely to be the best release by an Irish band this year... This is a major achievement by Eire's new major band" - Bill Brotherton, Grade A, Boston Herald

"Catchy riffs and smart lyrics... 'Blue Lights on the Runway' finds the group expanding on its increasingly confident sound." - David Dye, NPR World Cafe

"We're fans of the Bell X1 sound and heartily recommend checking them out, stat." - Rob Smy, AOL Spinner

"A-" - Jon Takiff, Philadelphia Daily News

"Killer hooks... impressionistic lyrics and vast audio landscapes... ['Blue Lights on the Runway' is] undeniable evidence that Bell X1 has the right stuff." - Bob Canon, Performing Songwriter
