NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ EMI Records) - Country legend and six-time Grammy winner Ronnie Milsap will released the 2-disc Then Sings My Soul: 24 Favorite Hymns and Gospel Songs this week via EMI CMG (CD & digital). With 40 No 1 chart-toppers under his belt, Ronnie Milsap is expanding his palette with Then Sings My Soul, his first foray into gospel-inspired music. Milsap went back to the deep, rich, gospel tradition of hymns like 'Holy Holy Holy' and 'Amazing Grace', both featured on the new album. Growing up in rural North Carolina, music's lure proved powerful for the young Milsap, and a chance meeting with Ray Charles proved to be the driving force for his music career. After joining forces with super-producer Chips Moman and recording on several Elvis Presley tracks, Ronnie began making name for himself in the Memphis music scene. Milsap topped the country chart more than a dozen times in the '70s, with such enduring hits as 'Let My Love Be Your Pillow' and 'What a Difference You've Made in My Life', the latter of which is reprised on Then Sings My Soul with an all-new recording and arrangement.
