Bell X1's New Record 'Blue Lights On The Runway' Hits No 1 On National Charts In Ireland

New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Rising rock band Bell X1s new record 'Blue Lights On The Runway' (Yep Roc) has debuted at No 1 on the National Album Sales Chart in Ireland. The first single, "The Great Defector," is also No 1 on Irish Radio Airplay Charts.

'Blue Lights On The Runway' has earned early praise from US press in anticipation of its US release today. USA Today's three and a half (out of four) star review claims, "[Bell X1 is a] high performance machine... blending soul and atmosphere, they frequently reach higher ground," while Billboard hails the "melodically memorable and inventively arranged songs." In a grade A review, The Boston Herald writes, "likely to be the best release by an Irish band this year... a major achievement by Eire's new major band."

Tastemaker station WXPN (PA) made Bell X1 "Artist To Watch" for March and WFUV (NY) named them one of the "New Artists You Need To Know In 2009."
