Detroit, MI. (Top40 Charts/ Hard Rock Cafe) - Trading electric guitars for acoustic ones, popular
Detroit rockers
Brandon Calhoon, Frankie D'Angelo and
Robin Horlock share an 'unplugged' triple bill benefiting Musicians On Call at the Hard Rock Cafe (45 Monroe St., Detroit) on
Thursday March 5.
Doors are at 8:00 p.m., tickets are $5 and all ages are welcome.
Presented by Detroit's Hard Rock Cafe and On the Rocks Detroit, the show is part of Hard Rock International's 'March on Stage' series - a month-long throwback to the heyday of the original Hardrock Cafe packing houses and benefiting charities all across the globe with live music from some of the freshest faces in rock. Recipient charity Musicians on Call brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, using music to promote and complement the healing process for patients, families and caregivers.
First gaining international fame as a contender on CBS' hit reality TV show 'Rock Star INXS,' audiences coast to coast respond to Brandon Calhoon's gritty neo-Motown rock and roll with gusto. Now touring in support of his debut CD 'Detroit City' (Blunk Street Music), Calhoon's rugged blend of rock, blues and soul never fails to captivate.
After a five-year stint leading Chicago's ultra successful band, The Gelheads, Frankie D'Angelo returned to hometown Detroit to explore familial and musical roots. Honing his skills as a songwriter, Frankie is now making his mark as a compelling solo act and festival favorite.
Mining rock, pop, reggae and folk influences, Robin Horlock is also touring in support of his new disc 'Music.' Counting former President Bill Clinton among his many fans, Robin's danceable and upbeat music is a surefire cure for Old Man Winter!
Along with the stellar music, Detroit's Hard Rock Cafe will be giving away two $25 gift certificates to attendees that night. Additionally, the Hard Rock Cafe will also validate parking cards for FREE Parking for those who park at the Farmer Garage (adjacent to the Compuware Building).
Don't miss a great night of music for Musicians on Call at Detroit's Hard Rock Cafe!
