NEW YORK (S. Crow Fans Website) - Last week their was a lot of talk that the Grammys producers were anticipating some controversial political statements to be made, during artists' acceptance speeches - and The Drudge Report was even reporting that the network was planning to censor artists who spoke out during the broadcast - a story which was backed up by a statement from Public Enemy's Chuck D. As it turns out, few musicians took them up on the offer. In the end, Sheryl Crow wore a guitar strap with the words "No War" emblazoned on it, and presenter Fred Durst said, "I just really hope we are in agreeance that this war should go away as quickly as possible." Durst said that he had been warned not to talk about the war by producers, but went ahead anyway.
