New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Aretha Franklin has elected to use TuneCore to release her new single "My Country 'Tis Of Thee," the song she sang at Barack Obama's inauguration. Franklin recently recorded her new preferred arrangement in a studio and the single will be available in the iTunes Store today, February 12.

Aretha's agent Rick Levy of International Creative Management, said, "In choosing how to digitally distribute Aretha's Preferred Version of 'My Country 'Tis of Thee,' we recognized that Tunecore provided not only an excellent digital distribution system, but also by far the best value proposition for Aretha by allowing her to keep 100% of the revenue paid by the online stores."

TuneCore has delivered the music of Keith Richards, Bjork, Jay-Z, Public Enemy, Nine Inch Nails, and tens of thousands of others to the digital download stores. Its customers have earned over 35 million dollars in music sales in two years.

TuneCore.com, the industry leader in digital distribution, has changed the 100-year-old model of the music and video businesses. It is a low, flat fee service that delivers anyone's music and videos to iTunes, eMusic, Amazonmp3 and many other major download sites while taking no rights and no revenue from the sale of the music. Artists are building careers, selling significant volumes of music and generating revenue while keeping their rights utilizing the new model created by TuneCore.
