Black History Month. For the month of February, Revival Reggae Sundays will host several events including
Bob Marley : A Musical Tribute [Feb 1st]. Other FREE events will include Ladies 1st Sundays : Tribute to Pam Hall [Feb 8th],
Black History : A Musical
Journey [Feb 15th] and International Reggae Night :
Music from Around the World [Feb 22nd]. Events will take place at LOX Lounge in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
The weekly showcase and dance party event has been hailed as by fans as 'the revival' of the New York reggae scene. Revival Reggae Sundays features an all-star line up of New York's premiere djs including DJ Silence of 107.9 Flava FM and DJ Jase of Pointblank Sound. Reggae Sundays has also hosted many live performers including top reggae artist Ky-Enie, Barbadian songstress Toni Norville, Riddim Nation and Judah Tribe.

Sunday February 1st - Ladies 1st Sundays : Tribute to Pam Hall - 9:00pm
Starting her career in the seventies, Pam Hall became one of Jamaica's most prolific female artists. She has established herself as a premier performer with broad recognition and appreciation in the U.K., Japan, and the world over. Through her accomplishments, she has helped to pave the way for generations of female musicians everywhere.
Ladies 1st Sundays pays homage to all women, with a special tribute to female reggae artists that have blazed many trails in music. Singers such as Tanya Stephens, Dawn Penn, Sister Nancy, Marcia Griffiths, Rita Marley, Janet Kay, JC Lodge and Judy Mowatt have led the way for others to follow.
Sunday February 8th - Bob Marley : A Musical Tribute - 9:00pm
A pioneer and icon of reggae music, Bob Marley reigns supreme as the most important artist ever in reggae music. His time here on earth transcended music as he tirelessly promoted peace, justice, and brotherhood to the four corners of the earth. Revival Reggae Sundays pays tribute to this legend with a musical tribute to the late Robert Nesta Marley.
Sunday February 15th - Black History : A Musical Journey - 9:00pm
DJ Silence of Pointblank Sound brings the turntables alive with a special Black History Month musical tribute. Songs of freedom and songs of strife, songs of resistance and songs of peace will permeate the ears of listeners.
Sunday February 22nd - International Reggae Night : Music from Around the World - 9:00pm
Reggae music can now be heard the world over. From the earlier days of Ska and Rocksteady to Dancehall and Culture, reggae music has truly become international. What started on the island on Jamaica has now spread past the furthest boundaries on earth. Artists such as Born Jamericans and Matisyahu from United States, Alpha Blondy Ivory Coast, UB 40 from the UK, Collie Buddz from Bermuda, Natural Black from Guyana and the late Lucky Dube from South Africa, have all been in the forefront of reggae music.
