NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Music XRay) - Over the past eighteen months, Platinum Blue Music Intelligence (PBMI) has quietly licensed and developed music information retrieval technology, assembled a skilled team and raised investment capital to help song owners bypass the need to aggressively promote music.
PBMI's initiative to alter the music promotion landscape is called Music Xray (corp site: www.MusicXray.com product site: www.MusicXray.net).

The toughest challenges facing every artist are finding an audience for a song and obtaining mass-market exposure. Music Xray begins to address these challenges by combining everything an artist needs to measure, monitor and grow the market demand for their songs into a simply designed, widget-like song capsule.

The song capsule is comprised of modules that expand and collapse when clicked upon. Each module expands to reveal key information about a song such as its market potential as measured by computer, its current market traction, blog mentions, social network activity and soon real time monitoring of a song?s peer to peer trades. Each Music Xray capsule also combines the best solutions for song submission, song showcasing, basic licensing (including creative commons), song sharing, simple distribution, controlled downloading, professional crosschecking and public commenting. All data is controlled by song owners, validated through consumption pattern monitoring, and ultimately reviewed by qualified professionals (details below).

Those who have Music Xrays for their songs can opt to have their songs included in a database that will be open and intelligently searchable at www.musicxray.net through powerful music retrieval tools that will enable both music industry professionals and consumers to easily and rapidly filter through music to obtain the songs and playlists that match their selected filtering criteria. For example, only songs - that sound like ?Satisfaction? by Rolling Stones, have 130 beats per minute, have market potential above 50% in the rock genre and have the words ?Russian roulette? in the lyrics - could be filtered out and considered for a specific license opportunity.

Song owners will even be able to submit their songs to qualified experts who are compensated to crosscheck Music Xray?s automated analysis. This has the added benefit of exposing songs directly to the industry audience many song owners are attempting to reach anyway.

The overarching proposition at www.musicxray.net is to create an open platform that enables the unprecedented filtering of music.
