SYDNEY, Australia (Silverchair Fans Website) - Actor Guy Pearce has agreed to appear in the next Silverchair video.

Pearce, best known for his work in The Time Machine, Memento, LA Confidential and Priscilla Queen of the Desert, will feature in the 'Across The Night' clip.
"I particularly wanted people to hear this song. It's one of my favourites", Daniel Johns explains. "I wanted to do a really special video for it so it was great to be able to have Guy involved. I've always liked his movies and I think he helped us make something which is visually a lot more memorable than just another music video."

Silverchair have gone back to young Brisbane directors Sarah-Jane Woulahan and Sean Gilligan to make the video. Their company Square-eyed films also made the videos for "The Greatest View" and "Without You".

"Across The Night" is already planned to be different. For starters, it is a black and white video. Sarah-Jane and Sean have based the look on the visual style of old black and white movies.

'Across The Night' is also the name Silverchair have christened their upcoming tour.
