NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Internet Records) - Internet Records has launched a contest for the next upcoming rap star on SonicBids.com. "Who Wants to be the next Rap Star?" will be the first ever Internet Reality show. Contestants will be chosen from Sonic Bids entries. Internet Records will choose the top twelve hip-hop artists to compete in an exclusive twelve-week online event. Submissions are open to the public till February 28, 2009.

Being a first of its kind, the new online reality show will focus on specific tasks, and artist development. The show will chronicle the progression of the artists from the time chosen to the grand finale. Internet Records and America will choose two artists that represent the best hip-hop talent in the country. Submissions are open to the public today, and Internet Records is proud to be a part of this history-making event. The winner will receive a record contract with Internet Records to record, promote, and distribute their next CD.

"This is truly a first of its kind," said Tyrone Williamson, CEO of Internet Records. "The show will set the bar high, and make this series both entertaining for the public, as well as truly inspirational for an upcoming generation of artists."

Williamson commented, saying, "I'm extremely excited about how this will turn out. Internet Records' goal is to have celebrity judges and surprise guests."
Submissions and contest rules are at:https://www.sonicbids.com/Opportunity/OpportunityView.aspx?opportunity_id=13751https://www.internetrecords.tv/documents/47.html
