MEDFORD, MA. (Top40 Charts/ Someday Rome Official Website) - In September of 2007 The Boston Globe published a small article on Someday Rome's Allen Hull and Matthew Ryan's efforts to promote water safety on cable television. Both performers nearly drowned as small children. This story was picked up internationally on the internet. In May of 2008 Hull and Ryan taped a public service announcement. It has aired on New England Cable Television. The spot can be found on You Tube by searching "Someday Rome + Water Safety." In September of 2008, a coloring book depicting what happened to Hull and Ryan as children, was produced. It also features group members, Sean MacAlpine and Joe Tarara. The 20 page book is being shipped to Children's hospitals and Shriner's Burn Centers in the United States, Hawaii and Canada. The interior is illustrated by cartoonist, John Mundt. The cover design was prepaired by artist, Dave Hudon. Photos of Someday Rome grace the front and back covers. Some may think these efforts by the band are being used to sell a CD or promote performances. A CD, though in the pre-production phase, is still several months away. The group plays to packed houses and doesn't need gimmicks to draw crowds. Hull and Ryan realize, after what happened to them as children, they're fortunate to be here performing for audiences. If you would like to receive a copy of the coloring book e-mail the group at [email protected] Listen to the group's original songs at www.myspace.com/somedayrome
