NY (AP) - B-52's main man Fred Schneider and Merv Pepler, of the U.K. techno/trance duo Eat Static, are set to enter a New York studio next month to work on the remix for "Crash and Burn," which is the title track from Eat Static's latest album on CyberOctave Records. "The funny thing," says Pepler, "is that I had the B-52's in mind when I wrote the track 'Crash and Burn'." Schneider is expected to lend his vocals to the electronic/lounge core remix. The remixed version of the song will be available as a U.S.-only bonus track on Eat Static's next album, In the Nude, which is due in January. The remix is also expected to be released as a single prior to the album.
