NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ KOCH Records) - KOCH Records, the number one independent label in the U.S., was nominated by the National Academy Of Recording Arts and Sciences in four categories at the 2008 Grammy Awards nomination ceremony. KOCH Recording artists Earl Klugh, Jerry Douglas, Ringo Starr and George Tsontakis were nominated for their outstanding albums and compositions in 2008. The 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on "GRAMMY Sunday," Feb. 8, 2009, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and once again will be broadcast live on CBS from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

The KOCH nominations are as follows:

* "The Spice Of Life" by Earl Klugh (KOCH Records)
Nominated for Best Pop Instrumental Album (For albums containing 51% or more playing time of INSTRUMENTAL tracks)

* "Two Small Cars In Rome" by Jerry Douglas from the album "Glide" (KOCH Records)
Nominated for Best Country Instrumental Performance (For solo, duo, group or collaborative performances, without vocals - Singles or Tracks only)

* "Ringo 5.1 The Surround Sound Collection" by Ringo Starr (KOCH Records)
Nominated for Best Surround Sound Album(For solo vocal or instrumental albums. Albums only.)

* "Violin Concerto No. 2" George Tsontakis (KOCH International Classics)
Nominated for Best Classical Contemporary Composition (A Composer's Award. (For a contemporary classical composition composed within the last 25 years, and released for the first time during the Eligibility Year.) Award to the librettist, if applicable.)
