NEW YORK (Top 40 Charts) - After 46 weeks of steady climbing and total sales of 2.9 million copies, Norah Jones' Come Away With Me finally reaches the top of USA's album chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The singer/songwriter, a Grammy front-runner up for best new artist and album of the year, sold 108,000 copies of her jazzy pop debut last week to supplant 8 Mile, which falls to No. 5. The Eminem-dominated soundtrack and Justin Timberlake's Justified (up from No. 7 to No. 6) are the sole male entries in the top 10. It took 46 weeks of steady climbing for Norah Jones' critically acclaimed album Come Away With Me to reach No. 1. Jennifer Lopez is No. 2, up from No. 6, trailed by Avril Lavigne and the Dixie Chicks, who hold on to Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. Shania Twain climbs one notch to No. 7, ahead of Missy Elliott, who returns to the top 10, Aaliyah and Christina Aguilera, who drops from No. 5. With few new releases in stores, the only debut in the top 100 is Canadian country artist Aaronlines' first album, Living Out Loud, arriving at No. 68. Post-holiday sales remain weak, with combined top 10 albums selling a modest 747,000 copies, compared with 964,000 last week.
