New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Fresh from opening a tour with Nikka Costa, The Soul of John Black will perform a hometown showcase at Hotel Cafe on November 11, marking the first LA performance of songs from their upcoming album 'Black John' (Eclecto Groove).
Leader John Bigham, who has performed with Miles Davis, recorded with Dr. Dre, and served as a member of Fishbone, displays incredible eclecticism as he dips into funk, blues, soul, gospel, rock and roll, and folk on the new platter.

The Soul of John Black has earned incredible acclaim for its first two albums; it has been dubbed "amazing" by Rolling Stone and "spine-tingling" by Interview Magazine. Esquire raved, "Bigham's anguished wail will grab your gut and turn it inside out."

LA-based Eclecto Groove will release 'Black John' February 17.
