MIDLAND, MI (Top40 Charts/ Robin Plous Lapins Public Relations) - Molly McFadden (nee Scates) was once called "the future of New York Cabaret" by such icons of song as Sylvia Sims and Margaret Whiting. Today, the musician turned restaurateur has released a CD "Live From Molly's" recorded in the bistro bearing her name. Molly owns and operates Molly's Bistro, a restaurant and jazz club in Midland, Michigan where she performs and hosts other artists while building a musical bridge from Midland to Manhattan.

At noon on Sunday, November 2, Molly will officially launch the CD and kick-off of the restaurant's beloved Jazz Holiday Brunch. Join the festivities while being serenaded by Molly.

As much a part of the CD as Molly herself is her band. Dave Smith, Pete Simonsen, and Roland Wallace are part of the Jazz oasis they create at Molly's Bistro regularly. Additionally, Molly's long-time friend and Legend of Jazz Joe Wilder recently performed with her as part of a local PBS-TV fundraiser. Many of the songs they performed are on this new CD. The songs harken back to the golden era of music before, during and just after World War II. Molly's style is unique and her delivery is most appealing. She can handle a lyric with elan and make you want to curl up in front of a fire and dream the night away with the one you love.

Molly is dedicated to being a part of the community. She is active in social causes and instrumental in developing events that benefit Midland. In conjunction with the release of "Live From Molly's" a Genetic Cancer Fund has been established at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. The fund supports those without insurance or the financial means to receive access to genetic counseling and testing. Molly will donate a portion of the proceeds from "Live From Molly's" to this fund in memory of her sister-in-law Ellen McFadden, who recently died from breast cancer.
