New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Aussie songwriting forces and married duo, Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson have created one of the best roots releases of 2008, 'Rattlin' Bones' (Sugar Hill Records). For the first time the songwriters teamed up for a guitar, banjo and dobro driven recording highlighting their impeccable harmonies and stellar songwriting.

The pair came to the States for a two-week trip in September to perform material from 'Rattlin' Bones' in a series of exclusive shows across the country - including the Highline Ballroom in NYC and Hotel Cafe in LA. Rounding out their U.S. run was an appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien where they performed "Rattlin' Bones."

Kasey & Shane received praise for their first record together. Here's what we've been reading:

"This raw country album has pitch-perfect harmonies, quick guitar and exuberant banjos, and will get any foot tapping." - Newsweek ("Must Hear")

"When [Chambers] and Nicholson join forces, it's innocence facing off with experience, salvation and sin side by side." - LA Times (4 stars)

"[Chambers] and Mr. Nicholson just released a crisply charming album that draws from the wellspring of American bluegrass and folk music... it's an unplugged alt-country record lightly sweetened by pop inclinations. The show struck a similar balance: it felt leisurely even informal, but also supremely polished." - New York Times

Skeletal, hypnotic, rootsy duet" - USA Today

"A big part of the Americana music scene Down Under the pair are more Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons than the shrimp-on-the-barbie Australian stereotype" - New York Post
