LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Luck Media & Marketing) - For their thousands of fans, there's always something to celebrate when they sing their No 1 R&B hits like "And The Beat Goes On" and "Rock Steady" that define an era in soul music. This year, that celebration extends to the holidays as they ring in the season with Christmas With The Whispers, their highly anticipated new DVD.

Four and a half decades after perfecting their harmonies on the street corners of Los Angeles, The Whispers are still performing together eight months each year throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Christmas With The Whispers was taped in High-Definition Video on stage in Los Angeles and features renditions of beloved holiday classics and original Whispers songs.

The colorful set list includes familiar songs like, "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town," "White Christmas," and "My Favorite Things," in addition to original compositions that are a true joy to revisit after nearly three decades: "Funky Christmas" and "This Time Of Year." Behind the scenes interviews with the singers and their fans give the audience a glimpse of the band's history and its special meaning to listeners, as well as insight into how the feature-length musical was filmed.

This unique video project is a joint venture between The Whispers' label Satin Tie and Vegas-based Odds On Records, with worldwide distribution by Koch Entertainment.

Group member Walter Scott, who formed The Whispers in Watts in 1963 with his twin brother Wallace (aka Scotty), Gordy Harmon, the late Marcus Hutson and Nicholas Caldwell, says, "We thought it would be fun to let fans see us performing these songs which they've had on our albums in their collections for so many years."

The Whispers first broke into the Top Ten on the Billboard R&B chart with "Seems Like I Gotta Do Wrong" in 1970,and over the years their Top Ten hit parade includes "One For The Money," "And The Beat Goes On"(No 1),"Lady," "Tonight," and "Rock Steady"(No 1).

The Whispers are touring in support of Christmas With The Whispers. For updates, please visit www.thewhispers.com.
