Available for purchase at iTunes and Amazon, "El Oscuro Paso" showcases Allbritten's indie sensibility. From "Antigua Samba Arbol (The Old Shade Tree)," which really does sound like the music one would hope to hear while sitting under a shady tree, to "La Demente Sombrerero (The Mad Hatter)," a laid-back instrumental reggaeton (fusion of reggae and Latin American music) song, the album delivers the intricately layered compositions for which Allbritten has become known. And though they are thoroughly modern, all ten songs of "El Oscuro Paso" sound like the music one might hear during a stroll through any long-established Central American neighborhood.
In his review of "El Oscuro Paso," HOY magazine's Tommy Calle wrote that Allbritten "... manages to captivate the audience from start to finish ...
