Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ S&S Mack Records) - Award-winning singer-songwriter Jason Matthews continues his hectic schedule across the country, visiting radio stations, playing shows, writing more hit songs and generally entertaining anyone within earshot of his new record, Hicotine.

One of Matthews' more memorable stops on his recent radio tour was WDAF's Denim and Diamonds show with Chuck Wicks and Bucky Covington. Matthews' single, "That's What Mamas Do," became one of the summer's most requested songs on country radio in Kansas City.

"Radio tours can really test a man's patience," says Matthews, "but everyone has been great out here on the road, and the response so far makes it all worth it, really. Now if we could just do something about these gas prices!"

Matthews is also watching another one of his songs shoot up the country charts. This time it's Luke Bryan's "Country Man," which Matthews co-wrote.

"One of my best friends and favorite people in the world is Luke Bryan. I'm so proud to have co-written this new single with him," Matthews says.

"Country Man" is the latest hit song in a long list of singles for Matthews. He wrote Billy Currington's "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right," Julie Roberts' "Break Down Here" and Kevin Denney's "That's Just Jessie," among others.

Matthews' nonstop travels found him performing at this year's CMA Music Festival, hanging with Lady Antebellum at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas and helping raise money for the American Cancer Society at the Relay For Life benefit concert in Tupelo, MS.

He also got to fulfill one of his childhood dreams when he was asked to perform "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch at a Kansas City Royals baseball game.
