Milwaukee, WI. (Top40 Charts/ Danglers Official Website) - Milwaukee-based progressive-rock trio, The Danglers, have just released a powerful musical statement in response to the U.S. Government's continuing oppression of its people, with their new single "Ascend." "Ascend" addresses the issues of wiretapping, gay rights, women's rights, the religious right, high gas prices, and the Iraq War. It is an anthem that will tear into the souls of non-complacent Americans everywhere.

"Recently there has been a lot of bands receiving praise for their sociopolitical lyrics, but nothing as strong or pointed as songwriters from the late 60's and early 70's. This moment in time requires less ambiguity and more responsibility by musicians to prove that music is still relevant," said Jason Loveall, violinist and singer for The Danglers.

This political anthem can heard, purchased, and the full lyrics read now at The Danglers website at https://myspace.com/thedanglers.

Self Proclaimed Heavy Wooden. One of a kind original trio of electric violin, standup bass, and drums. Think a cross between Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Buckley. The Danglers include members of Violent Femmes, The Tossers, and Avalon Four. The Danglers have been known for over 10 years as a mind-blowing live act, see them! The Danglers is Jason Loveall, violin/vocals, John Sparrow, drums/percussion and Dave Gelting, contrabass/vocals.https://myspace.com/thedanglers
