New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Bluesman Elvin Bishop, who cultivates an extensive garden, decided to bring a jar of homemade strawberry jam to B. B. King before recording a track together for Bishop's new album 'The Blues Rolls On' (September 23 / Delta Groove / Eclecto Groove).

"I had to catch these guys where I could. So I went to Las Vegas to record with B. B.," he says.

At the airport on his way, Bishop was stopped and asked to leave his glass jar. He pleaded with an airport security guard to allow him to bring his homemade jam to B. B. King.

But the guard was adamant, saying, "'The Thrill Is Gone' and so is your jam."

Bishop and B. B. recorded a stylish rendition of Roy Milton's "Keep A Dollar In Your Pocket" which also includes some insightful dialogue. "We've known each other a long time," says King. "Have you ever heard me call myself king of the blues?"

"No. But everybody else does," replies Bishop.
"Well. People talk," retorts King.

'The Blues Rolls On' also features guests Derek Trucks, George Thorogood, James Cotton, Warren Haynes, Tommy Castro and Kim Wilson.
