New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Progressive soul siren Maiysha's debut album 'This Much is True' (Eusonia/UFO/ August 26) is full of sensuous melodies, but none set a mood better than "You Don't Know", her simmering duet with "Across the Universe" actor and Bluhammock/Rebel Soul Records recording artist Martin Luther. Says Maiysha:

"Every soul album needs its 'baby-making' song, and this one is ours. My songwriting partner Scott Jacoby and I were originally asked to write a track for Nas, and this was one of the ideas we came up with. They decided to go in a completely different direction for his album, but we knew the track was too good to let go. I spent ages trying to figure out how to re-work the song for myself."

"After playing around with a few different versions, I finally realized that this song was meant to be a duet, about being away from your lover and needing them so badly you simply can't stand it. I was lucky enough to have a connection to Martin Luther, whose music I've loved for years, and we were thrilled when he agreed to do the song. He's a ridiculously talented musician, and incredibly cool - he actually improvised an entire spoken word interlude for the song in one take!"
