LONDON, UK. & NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Orchard) - Acrobat
Music Group, the specialist UK catalogue and re-issue label, have re-signed to The Orchard, a global leader in digital music and entertainment, for exclusive world wide digital distribution and marketing. In addition to bolstering the number of tracks offered by Acrobat, the expanded deal grants The Orchard the rights to offer Acrobat's catalogue for use in The Orchard's growing creative licensing and brand entertainment divisions.
The renewal follows five years of sustained growth in Acrobat's digital sales, and the groups aggressive expansion reflected in its recent acquisition of the extensive TKO master catalogue coupled with a move into frontline product with upcoming releases from Acrobat's recent artist signings, Loungeclash and The Khans, and the opening of the groups US operations based in New York.
Acrobat's acquisition of the TKO catalogue has added over 22,000 original major artist titles, including recordings from Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis and Bill Haley, many of which have not been previously available for download.
Commenting on the deal, John Cooper, CEO Acrobat Music Group said, 'We are very pleased to renew our deal with The Orchard; we have enjoyed a very long and successful relationship with them and are happy to be part of the digital revolution.'
'Over the past five years, we've been incredibly fortunate to count Acrobat as a client and friend. Even prior to their acquisition of TKO, they offered a magnificent catalogue, and it is wonderful to now have the opportunity to expand that offering for music fans around the world," said Greg Scholl, President and CEO of The Orchard.
